Use the FX rack
Adjust EQ, compression, stereo and reverb, change effect order and understand what is saved automatically.
In this guide
Open the rack and listen #
- Mix the stem first; FX is intended for a mixed track.
- Choose its FX button.
- Use Listen to stem to audition it, or listen in the song.
- Use the top jump buttons EQ, Dynamics, Stereo and Plate to reach a module.
- Close the rack with Done or the close button when finished.
On a phone the controls fill the available screen. You can listen while adjusting without needing to see the waveform at the same time.

Equalizer controls #
High-pass removes low frequencies below its setting. Low · 120 Hz, Mid · 1 kHz and High · 7 kHz adjust the broad tone around those frequencies. The curve visualizes your control settings.
Start with small moves and compare. Reducing low-mid buildup can be more useful than boosting every track's treble. Cutting too much low end from a bass or kick can remove the weight you want.
Compressor controls #
Threshold sets where compression begins; Ratio sets how strongly level above that threshold is reduced. Attack controls how quickly it engages, and Release how quickly it lets go.
Use the transfer-curve display as a guide to the settings, not as a live gain-reduction meter. Very fast attack or heavy compression can reduce transient punch. Compare before/after at a sensible listening volume.
Order, stereo, reverb and original audio #
Use a module's grip to drag it into a different order, or use its up/down buttons. Drag the grip, not a slider. Collapse a module with its chevron.
Stereo field adjusts width. Plate reverb has Amount and Time. Use original stem bypasses the automatic processed stem for comparison or a deliberate source choice.
Reset controls restores the channel controls; it is not an undo history for every earlier export. A saved channel preset reuses controls, while a custom sound profile captures reference measurements.
Save without unnecessary remixing #
EQ, compression, width, reverb, level and pan are saved when you release their controls and included when you master. Wait for Effects saved or All changes saved before leaving.
Instrument, sound-profile and noise-cleanup changes need Apply Mix Changes or Remix Changed. Noise cleanup and saved channel presets require Pro. A disabled Pro control is an upgrade boundary, not a broken slider.
