Troubleshooting

A part is missing or the balance sounds wrong

Check the source, instrument labels, duplicates, mute state and processing status before changing the master.

In this guide
  1. Check the source and inclusion first
  2. Check the instrument and role
  3. Adjust in the mix, not only the master
  4. Send a useful report

Check the source and inclusion first #

  1. Preview the original stem to confirm the intended part is actually in that file.
  2. Check that it is not muted, still uploading, or marked Needs attention.
  3. Clear Solo if you want the whole arrangement.
  4. Confirm that you did not include a full song or a bus sum alongside all of its individual parts.
  5. Check for alternate exports that should not play at the same time.

Duplicated performances can create excessive level or phase-like cancellations. Missing source audio cannot be reconstructed by changing a mastering target.

Check the instrument and role #

Label individual kick, snare, clap and overhead files appropriately. A whole drum kit is different from a kick-only track. Check vocals versus backing vocals and individual instruments versus a full instrumental.

If an instrument label or sound profile changes, wait for saving and use Remix Changed. For musical role, choose the intended foreground/support relationship and let balancing finish. Making every track foreground is not a useful hierarchy.

Adjust in the mix, not only the master #

Once mixed, make a careful channel-level move or inspect that stem's FX. If only one guitar is muddy, start with that track rather than boosting the entire master.

Compare against the pre-master mix. A louder reference can seem more energetic solely from playback level, so compare at a similar listening volume. Do not push master loudness harder to compensate for a muted or missing part.

Send a useful report #

If the same valid source remains unexpectedly inaudible or unbalanced, send support the session link, the affected track name and what you hear in Original versus Mixed playback.

No automatic mix can make different recordings identical to another performance. Still, clear reproducible source/instrument/status details help identify an engine or workflow problem rather than guessing from overall loudness.
